Shenanigan on CD
This is a 8 panel digipak, double compact disc recording of a newly finished show that will never be performed live.
I did some work in progress shows of this, just over three years ago (a few nights at the Trades Club in Hebden Bridge and a few weeks at The Roundabout in Edinburgh) and over the course of those, it developed into a really really good story about two people with a satisfying mystery at the middle of it and I really liked it.
I had plans to turn it into some vaguely experimental play, but then the kerfuffle happened and that plan fell away.
Then, in June of 2021, i did two weeks of work in progress on the show as an Audio Only Online Storytelling Experiment™ during which time, I tweaked it and changed it, improved some of the jokes and realised it was also a story about telling stories and to be honest, i was frankly, delighted by how well it worked as an audio thing.
I then announced my plans to produce it as a record, making it available to pre-order for a month in August of 2021.
I expected it to take me one or, at most, two months to record, edit, design, manufacture and post out the pre-ordered records.
It took me fourteen months.
But i think it turned out pretty well.
